Volume goes up by itself. It will go down with the...

Volume goes up by itself. It will go down with the down button, but as soon as it's released, it goes all the way up on its own. Have changed remote batteries and removed them. Have tried just using volume button manually on the system itself. Still goes up on its own. Any fix?
