how do i turn the subwoofer off on the inspire t61...

how do i turn the subwoofer off on the inspire t6100 creative speaker system, or turn it down, i've turned the dial on the back of the sub to zero but it is still vibrating through the walls. (much to our neighbours annoyance!) please help!!!!!!!
