0 I read somewhere that the speaker impedance is 600 ohms (this is common because a typical satellite system puts all the crossover networks on the circuit board inside the subwoofer, to save money, so the speakers are NOT 4 ohm, 6 ohm, or 8 ohm like most bookshelf speakers.) so if you want to build your own speakers, you should look for a midrange speaker with 600 ohm impedance. If necessary, contact me and i'll measure mine to make sure ( gillies @ ece.ubc.ca )
