Hi. I own an old acoustimass 10 series ii speaker...

Hi. I own an old acoustimass 10 series ii speakers about (10 years old) is it possible to use this system with a brand new receiver? How does the sub woofer connect to the new receiver? Because my old recceiver didnt need to have the woofer connected to it?
