Question About Aiwa Stereo System XR-M55
tape casette holder will not open...

I tried to record some music recently and since then the casette hold will not open. It clicks for 5/6 seconds but does not open. Could it be locked in time and need to await until it commences to record? I'm at: royc.marshall@yahoo.co.uk Thanks
