Question About Aiwa Stereo System XR-M88
AIWA XR-M88 shuts down...

Don't know if this is a problem with the power supply, but my AIWA XR-M88 seems to have died. If I disconnect and reconnect power to the unit, the power (red) light comes on for about 2 seconds and shuts down. I noticed that the cooling fan does not turn. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? If so, suggestions for repairing the unit. Appreciate any/all suggestions!

0 Addtional Comment - the unit shuts down ONLY when the top unit (CD / Diskette) is connected via the ribbon cable. Ribbon cable appears to be OK (no nicks, cuts, etc.). Any assistance in resolving this problem is greatly appreciated!
