My partner has just picked one of these up from Freegle (formerly Freecycle) but it's come without a remote or a manual - he'd like help setting it up, basically so any information would be greatly appeciated.

I have a Technics SU G75 Amp which does not play. All the displays read properly and work. I do get some crackling out of the speakers. Does anyone have any ideas to share/
