I have a Sony RDR HX750. I kept getting CPRM error on the HDD so I took it out and connected it to my PC. Disk manager picks it up but wants me to initialise it but i am scared of loosing everything. So I put it back into the recorder, now it freezes at welcome and nothing else works.

Recently my 400 changer has started skipping a lot. The discs live in the player, so its not like they have gotten scratched. I've opened the player and tried to blow out dust, including from the lens. There is little pattern to the skipping. I love my setup and am very hesitant to change to a different architecture. I'm experienced at repair, if I can figure out what's wrong and get the right part, I can fix it. Does this sound like a failing laser? Anyone know where to buy the part?

After hooking the camera up to our computer, we are unable to veiw anything on the screen. The exceptions are if we snap a picture, it will show up on the screen for a moment, then it too goes away. Pressing the menu button does nothing, and pressing the 'review' arrow at the lower left side of the screen does nothing. Battery has been removed for a minute (to reset) and replaced, still nothing. Any ideas?

I have a ICF-318 model and cannot find the manual. What is the setting for the central time zone. Also is there an indicator of year on their. It adjusted for daylight savings time one day late.
