PRECAUTIONS
4. CAUTION AND NOTES ON THE MPF INSTALLATION
5. NOTE IN USE OF THE OPTIONAL JOINT-LESS SCREENS
The areas corresponding to the joints may flicker even during use of joint-less screens.
The ending and starting of scanning at the connecting areas at the top and bottom of screen is out of sync,
resulting in brightness differences at the connecting areas of the top and bottom of the screen. This flickers
because the human eye pursues the changes in brightness.
This symptom is observed with joint-less screens and more noticeable when the screens are viewed from a
distant place. When screens with joints are used, the scanning timing error between the two vertically adja-
cent screens is less noticeable because the eye motion following the scanning is interrupted at the joint. On
the other hand, with joint-less screens, the scanning timing error is noticeable because the eyes can follow it
more easily thanks to the absence of the joint. The reason why it is more noticeable at a distance is because
the eyes can view the overall view of the screens and follow the overall motion more easily.

Item
The system has been designed exclusively for permanent installation. The wood
cabinets cannot stand the heavy-duty rental use.
Stacking of screens
The screens can be stacked in up to 3 stages.
Installation location
The system should be installed on a level surface or the stands should be provided
with the adjustment mechanisms.
Installation work
Do not mount on the cabinets during installation. Otherwise they may tumble
down or be deformed.
Installation caution
As the system has been designed with slimmer depth than the previous models, it
tend to tumble down more easily than them. Be sure to take countermeasures
against tumbling down.
Servicing space
The screens, mirrors and lenses can be cleaned from the front side but the electri-
cal assemblies should be accessed from the rear when replacing them.
Installation up against the rear wall (2 stages)
The above consideration on the servicing space is important.
Use L-shaped BNC connectors.
Headroom should be reserved at the top and left/right in consideration of the rise
in internal temperature.
Work at a high position is always accompanied with danger. If you drop a tool, it
may not only damage the equipment but injure other persons in worst case. Be
very careful in conducting work at a high position.
