Radio Reception
Tuning to radio stations
1 Press TUNER (TUNER/BAND on the
system) once or more to select your waveband
(FM or AM).
2 Press and hold SEARCH 1 or ¡
(S T on the remote) until the frequency
on the display starts running.
➜ The radio automatically tunes to a station of
sufficient reception.
➜ For FM, STEREO is displayed when
receiving stereo broadcast.
3 Repeat step 2 if necessary until you find the
desired station.
● To tune to a weak station, briefly press
SEARCH 1 or ¡ on the front panel of
the system and repeatedly until you have found
optimal reception.
Programming radio stations
You can store up to 30 radio stations (FM: 20;
AM: 10) in the memory.
1 Tune to your desired station (refer to “Tuning to
radio stations”).
2 Press PROGRAM to activate programming.
➜ PROG flashes on the display.
3 Press PRESETí/ë(S T on the
remote) to allocate a number (FM: 1 to 20; AM:
1 to 10) for this station.
4 Press PROGRAM again to confirm the setting.
➜ PROG disappears. The preset number and
the frequency of the preset station are shown.
5 Repeat the above four steps to store other
stations.
● You can override a preset station by storing
another frequency in its place.
Listening to preset radio stations
● Press PRESETí/ë(S T on the
remote) until the desired preset station is
displayed.
● In the FM band, you may press
STEREO/MONO to turn on/off stereo sound
if available.
➜ STEREO is displayed when activated.
