MR85
AM/FM Tuner
“rediscover the pleasures
of radio with
the
MR85 tuner”
The MR85 is meticulously engineered as a broadcast-grade monitor
that reveals the upper limits of AM/FM performance. Manual tuning
is accomplished through a sophisticated optical encoder that is
actuated by a “smooth-dialing” weighted flywheel. Other features
include permanent memory for all settings and selectable auto-mute
for local/distance tuning. An alpha-numeric fluorescent display
indicates band, station frequency, signal strength and station preset.
As an expansion option, an additional tuner module may be added by
a McIntosh dealer. This is perfect for multizone applications because
the MR85 becomes two great tuners that operate independently and
can be used simultaneously. All station presets for each tuner may be
labeled with a name containing as many as eight characters. A good
tuner is hard to find, even as a separate. A great tuner such as the
MR85 is truly rare, and will let you rediscover the pleasures of radio.
