4'' Two-Way Surround Loudspeaker
Part of the new entry-level Reference 10
family, the RS-10 surround loudspeaker offers
the same advanced technology and world-class
materials as the Reference III surrounds but
from a smaller enclosure and at a lower price
point.
The RS-10 delivers precise sonic detail through
the careful positioning of two Tractrix
®
Horn
loaded titanium-dome tweeters and one 4-
inch woofer. By aligning the two horns at 90˚
with respect to each other, along with the
front-firing woofer, the RS-10 smoothly covers
a 180-degree horizontal arc, allowing
maximum placement flexibility. This unique
Wide Dispersion Surround Technology™
delivers a new dimension of reality and
convenience, and produces a smooth,
seamless broad distribution of sound, which
is the perfect vehicle for every surround
format.
The woofer on the RS-10 still features
Klipsch’s distinctive, copper-colored
Cerametallic™ material. Made with an
anodized aluminum, this cone is strong with
low mass. The anodizing process converts its
inner and outer surfaces to ceramic. The
outcome is a rigid cone with superb damping
characteristics that will not flex or resonate at
frequencies within the woofer’s operating
range.
As in all Reference Series speakers, the RS-10
crossover network is constructed using
extremely high-quality components including
top-
of-the-line internal wiring, polyester film-
type capacitors and an air-core inductor to
ensure signal purity and proper driver
integration.
The RS-10 comes with a back-panel keyhole
for on-wall mounting and a threaded insert for
attachment to popular adjustable wall and
ceiling brackets. A
vailable in a black ash vinyl
finish, the RS-10 features an elegant fit and
finish.
