Using Your Phone

Roam Indicator Appears when your phone
uses another network system outside your
home network. When you leave your home
network area, your phone roams or seeks
another network. Icons here can also indicate your text
entry mode (alpha, numeric, symbol, etc.)

Text Entry Indicator Indicates your Text Entry Method
whenever you are in a text editor (Tap, iTap, etc.). See
page 36.

Message Indicator Indicates when you
have an active Chat session, or when you
have a new voice or text message waiting.

Battery Level Indicator Shows the amount of charge
left in your battery. The more bars visible, the greater the
charge.
Recharge your battery when you see the
Low Battery
warning message and hear the low battery alert.

Menu Indicator Indicates that you can press
M
to
open a menu. See page 33.

Alert Type Indicator Shows the current selected alert
profile. The default alert setting is loud ring.
