THE CRESTRON TOUCHPANEL INTERFACE
A friendly onscreen menu can be displayed on any Crestron touchpanel within your home. The screens discussed in this
section are a typical example of an interface provided by Crestron to its dealers. Since your dealer may have customized
screens for you, your screens may differ with respect to presentation, but the general topics covered should apply
nonetheless.
What appears on the screen depends on the size of the touchpanel. Larger panels have a larger touch screen area thus a
designer can display more information. Therefore, two versions of sample screens are shown below. Those on the left are for
large touchpanels (10 inches or more). The screens to the right are for touchpanels less than 10 inches.
The Music Library page, such as the one shown below, provides the convenience of easy browsing and instant access to all
the music stored within the Audio Library available on your Audio Server. The Music Library is the rst level of browsing; it
provides a list of categories (Genres, Artists, Albums, Eras, Years, Playlists, and Tracks).
The following items appear on every level of browsing (except where noted):
Music browser (categories shown on Music Library page; other pages show browse-level appropriate lists)
Navigate the browse-level appropriate list with the following buttons:
Open another page by selecting a ‘jump to’ button (buttons on the Music Library page include Options, Library, and
Now Playing). The Playlist Manager button only appears on the large touchpanels (10 inches or more).
Select one of the four audio outputs (Zones A through D; depends on the audio server model). For touchpanels less than
10 inches, this item appears by selecting the Options button.
Summary of current selection (Now Playing; press this area to open a new window with more details and control). The
summary only appears on the large touchpanels (10 inches or more).
