Adjusting the Laser Beam Width
The width of the laser beam emitted from the Handheld Terminal can be adjusted to match
the width of the bar code that is being read.
When you switch the laser beam width, you must set the beam’s reference point
beforehand.
1 Turn the Handheld Terminal ON with the
and keys held down to start up the
system menu.
2 Press the following keys in order to start up
laser beam adjustment:
Mode Set
Bar Code
Laser Beam Adjustment
3 Press the trigger key to emit the laser beam,
and align the laser beam with the beam width
adjustment bar code.
* Align the laser beam with the fine bars on
both sides of the adjustment bar code.
(Example)
After first making sure that the laser beam is
emitted at the correct position, hold down the
trigger key for at least one second.
Laser beam adjustment is completed when
you release the trigger key.
