How to use the serial port
Maestro CD 192/24 is equipped with a standard RS-232 serial port. You may remotely control the CD player connecting it to a PC or
a home-automation unit through this port. This feature allows you to integrate Maestro CD 192/24 into a multi-room or house-
automation system and enjoy its sound everywhere in your house. For technical details about the setting parameters of the port and
the commands please see the table below.

Il Maestro CD 192/24 è dotato di una porta seriale in standard RS-232. Tramite questa porta è possibile controllare l’apparecchio
tramite un PC o una centralina per l’home automation. Questa caratteristica permette di inserire il Maestro CD in impianti multi-room
o di home automation e usufruire delle sue prestazioni sonore in tutta la casa. Per maggiori dettagli circa il settaggio dei parametri
della porta e per i comandi si veda la seguente tabella.

%AAFFD<CR><LF> - Toggles the Fast Forward feature when the unit is in play.
%AAFRW<CR><LF> - Toggles the Fast Rewind feature when the unit is in play.
%AANXT<CR><LF> - Jumps to next track when in play. Select the next track to be afterwards
played when in stop.
%AAOPN<CR><LF> - Opens or closes the tray. Note: when the unit is in play, this command
forces the unit to stop before opening the tray.

Starts disc reproduction from the active track (e.g. the first track or the
track selected with the %AAPVS or %AANXT commands) when ‘dd’ is
not specified, otherwise reproduction starts from the ‘dd’ track (if it exists
in the TOC). Note: ‘dd’ MUST be a two digits number.
%AAPSE<CR><LF> - Toggles the pause feature when the unit is in play.
%AAPVS<CR><LF> - Jumps to previous track when in play. Select the previous track to be
afterwards played when in stop.
%AARPT<CR><LF> - Equivalent to the REPEAT key on the remote control, please read the
user manual for details.
%AASTB<CR><LF> - Toggles the standby feature.
%AASTP<CR><LF> - Stops the reproduction when in play, resets the active track when in stop.
%AATIM<CR><LF> - Equivalent to the 10+ key on the remote control when the unit is in play,
please read the user manual for details.
%AAVBS,n<CR><LF> n=0..1 Enables (n=1) or disable (n=0) the delivery of track and time information
to the controller via the RS232 interface. These data can be used to
report play information to the user via the system’s touchscreen. Note:
when this feature is enabled, it is safe to send commands to the unit right
after receiving a data string, in order to avoid overlapping of data and
answer
%AAVER<CR><LF> - Returns the firmware version number.
Note: all commands are echoed to the controller. All command except %AAVER are answered with ‘Done<CR><LF>’ when
executed. %AAVER is answered with the version number string. Invalid commands are ignored. Valid commands with invalid
parameters are either not answered or answered with ‘Failed<CR><LF>’.
Note on S\PDIF digital output
Caution, when the CD player is not playing, the digital output is disconnected.
