Marantz CD Player CD Player

laser problem

some times the cd player model 63 signature will not recognise the disc,have been told it,s a problem with the laser,can anyone tell me if the serial number will be on the old laser when i remove it.i have a website thar supplies the new laser but i need the serial number.any help would be much appreciated. geoff walsley
