Distorted outputs on low end frequencies with transmitters and active basses

Hi, I have an active Spector bass with a tone pump per amp on it but when I use my transmitter, I get a distorted sound, particularly the bottom end. What I would like to know is the impedance of the transmiiter so i can calculate the resitor values so I can design my own attenuator. Alternatively, do you have such a cable/device for sale and if so, where can I purchase this?
