For the phone to recognize the 0000 passkey, your phone has to be in pairing mode. With the bluetooth headset off and your phone ready to enter passkey, hold down the middle button for 5 seconds and let go. The light should alternate between red and blue. Enter 0000 for the passkey on the phone and it should pair.
