Can You Help With These Problems?

  Types of DVD's it plays
  I have a bunch of videos that I have downloaded from various sources and would like to copy them to DVD's to play on my Magnavox. Most are videos of my Purple Martins and are in .avi format but when I copy them to the DVD they will not play. What format do I need to use?

  Recording vcr to dvd
  My 6 hour home movie tape only goes for an hour on the DVD recorder. I have the DVD set to record for 6 hours, and it shows space available after the recording. I have the unit set to record for 6 hours. How can I fix this? I don't want 6 DVD's to 1 VCR tape.
